  • After that, register the VBScript engine on your computer by following the instructions given below.
  • Open the Command Prompt application on your computer and run the following command on it.
  • For Windows 32-bit users: Type the cd %windir%\system32 command. Tap Enter.
  • For Windows 64-bit users: Enter cd%windir%\system64 and press the Enter button.
  • Wait for the command to run.
  • Run one more command regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt window.
  • Now, try to install the Fortnite gaming application on your computer.
  • If the Fortnite installer error 2738 persists, try the second troubleshooting method discussed below.

Solution 2:

In the Command Prompt window, run any one of the commands mentioned below.

For 32-Bit Users:

  • reg delete “HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}” /f or remove the HKEY_CURRENT_USER using REGEDIT.
  • Now, tap the Enter button.
  • After that, run the following command.
  • c:\windows\system32\regsvr32 vbscript.dll

For 64-Bit Users:

  • Type either of the following commands in the command prompt.
  • reg delete “HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}” /f or remove the HKEY_CURRENT_USER using REGEDIT.
  • Tap the Enter button.
  • Following that, run the below-mentioned command.
  • c:\windows\syswow64\regsvr32 vbscript.dll
  • Now, check if the Fortnite installer error 2738 is resolved.
