Microsoft Office is a popular software for corporate professionals, home individuals, and college students due to its easy-to-use features. Recently, Microsoft released the latest Office 2021 Preview (Beta) version for macOS-powered computers and laptops with early testing versions of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, and Teams.

Microsoft’s new software is supported on the most recent versions of macOS, which means macOS is compatible with the Microsoft Office 2021

  • macOS Monterey (version 12)

  • macOS Catalina (version 10.15)
  • macOS Mojave (version 10.14)
  • Minimum RAM: 4 GB.
  • Minimum Storage: 10 GB.
  • Apple M1 Silicon Chip and Intel-based Macs are supported.

Microsoft Office 2021 for Mac (Preview) is very similar to Office 2019 and can be used with Office 2019 side-by-side on Mac devices.

Steps to install Microsoft Office 2021 on Mac

  • On your Mac, go to the menu bar, click on the Finder, and select Applications.
  • Scroll down and look for the Microsoft Office apps.
  • Open one of the Office apps in the What’s New box that opens. 
  • Click Get Started to proceed.
  • Start activating Word by selecting Sign in.
  • If you can’t see the window, open a blank file and click File. Look for New from template and click Sign in.
  • Enter the email address that you used to sign, which is connected with Office for your Mac, and click Next.
  • Enter your password. The system will check if you have a valid license and then will activate the product.
  • Wait for Office 2021 to get activated on Mac.
  • Finally, you have successfully installed Microsoft Office 2021 on Mac. 
  • Now, you can happily click Start and use Word.
