Roku Express 4k Factory Reset

If you are encountering any issues with your Roku device or want to replace it with a new device, you can do so easily. You just have to factory reset the device. However, factory resetting your Roku Express device will erase all the settings and return Roku to its factory defaults.

Roku Express 4k can be reset in two ways.

  • Using the Settings option.
  • Using the Reset button.

Here we are going to explain both the methods. Go through the steps carefully.

Using the Settings option

  • Take your Roku remote and press the Home button.
  • Navigate to the Settings option, which is on the left side of your home screen; use the arrow buttons to move directions.
  • From Settings, choose System and press the OK button.
  • And move to the Advanced System Settings.
  • From there, select Factory reset.
  • A code will be displayed in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
  • Enter the code and select OK.
  • Choose Start factory reset.
  •  Finally, it will turn your Roku off and back on again.
  •  You can view the Roku logo bouncing on your screen once the device restarts.

Using the Reset button

Roku devices come with a factory reset button at the back or bottom of the device. The button will be a tactile or a pinhole button. All you need to do is long-press the button.

  • Go to your Roku device.
  • Look for the Reset button as mentioned above.
  • Press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
  • If it is tactile, then you can use your finger to press the button; if it is a pinhole, then you need a paper clip.
  • Finally, the Roku device will restart.
  • Most of the time on these devices, you will see an indicator light start to blink rapidly once the device is reset
