Set Up Email On iPhone

Automatic setup:

  • On your iPhone, touch the Settings icon on the home screen to open the Settings app.
  • Tap the Mail button and select Accounts.
  • Tap the Add Account button and choose your email service provider from the available list.
  • Input your email address and password in the required fields and tap Next.
  • Wait for Mail to verify your email account details.
  • Once the verification is complete, select the apps you wish to sync with your email account.
  • Tap Save and open the Mail app.
  • Check if your email account is added to the Mail app.
  • Finally, try to send a test email from your account in the Mail app to check the email setup.

Manually setting up email on an iPhone:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Tap Mail -> Accounts -> Add Mail Account.
  • Tap the Other button from the list of email service providers to go for the manual setup.
  • Type a name for your email account.
  • Enter the email account details such as email address and password in the available fields.
  • Tap Next and choose either IMAP or POP as your account type.
  • Under Incoming mail server, enter your incoming mail server name in the Host Name field.
  • Enter the email address in the User Name field.
  • Input your email account password in the Password field.
  • Under Outgoing mail server, enter the outgoing mail server, email address, and password.
  • Tap Next and toggle on the Contacts, Calendars, and Mail buttons.
  • Return to the Settings page and tap the Mail button.
  • Choose your email account from the list and go to the Advanced section.
  • Toggle on the Use SSL button.
  • Input the outgoing and incoming server ports and save the settings.
  • Open the Mail app and check whether your email account is added.
  • Finally, try to send a test email from your email account for verification.
